Fish Net 10″ (25.4cm) – Bundle of 12

Description

Fish Net 10″ (25.4cm) – Bundle of 12 — Large aquarium net for goldfish, cichlids and big community tanks, in a twelve-pack

A 15 cm goldfish or a grown cichlid will not fit into a small net, and trying usually ends with the fish thrashing on the rim. Fish Net 10″ (25.4cm) – Bundle of 12 (SKU: SFISN10) is a bundle of twelve Serenity aquarium nets with a 10 in (25.4 cm) frame, a large size for bigger fish in tanks of around a metre and more. The wide frame takes a large fish fully into the net in one movement, and it covers enough water to skim floating debris, leaves and plant trimmings from a big tank quickly. The twelve-net bundle is aimed at shops, wholesalers, fish rooms and clubs stocking or equipping several large tanks.

Large fish are strong, and a net that is too small for them risks split fins, lost scales and fish jumping clear. The 10 in frame gives room to guide a fish in head first and lift it with its body supported, rather than folded over the rim. In a long tank, two of these nets work well together, one held at the end as a stop and the other used to herd the fish towards it, which shortens the chase and keeps stress down for the rest of the tank. Once a fish is in, it is lifted out level and released straight into its bag or container. Heavy-bodied fish can be supported from below with a hand under the net. After use, each net is rinsed in clean water and left to dry, and keeping a separate net for each system or quarantine tank, which a bundle of twelve allows, helps stop disease moving between tanks.

Usage & Application
