A frame this narrow slips between plants, into the corners of a nano tank and behind small decorations where larger nets cannot reach, and it lifts a single fry, a shrimp, a snail or a piece of uneaten food without disturbing everything around it. The dozen pack is aimed at breeders, shops and fish rooms that need a net for every tank.

Small nets earn their keep in breeding work. A fry rack or a row of shrimp tubs can run a dedicated net in each container, which stops disease, snails and planaria travelling between tanks on a shared net, and twelve nets make that practical. In a nano or betta tank the 3 in frame is in proportion to the space, so a fish can be guided into it gently rather than chased. The usual technique is to wet the net, approach slowly from below and lift the fish out with the net held level; for the smallest fry and shrimp, a small cup held under the net catches the animal with some water so it is never left on dry mesh.
