The Multi-Chamber Holding & Breeding Box (SKU: FLV02) is a versatile, external hang-on nursery designed for breeding, isolating, and acclimating fish or dwarf shrimp. By hanging on the outside of your tank frame, it preserves precious internal aquarium swimming space while providing clear 360-degree visibility for monitoring newborn fry, pregnant livebearers, or recovering fish.

Equipped with removable divider plates, the box can be customised into up to three separate housing compartments. Water is continuously circulated from the main aquarium into the unit using a standard air pump (sold separately), ensuring fry receive warm, oxygenated, and filtered tank water without requiring additional heaters or submerged filter equipment.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Fry Nursery & Breeding: Protects vulnerable newborn livebearer fry (guppies, mollies, platies) from adult fish.

• Fish & Shrimp Acclimation: Ideal for slowly drip-acclimating new fish, sensitive invertebrates, or coral frags to tank conditions.

• Isolation & Separation: Safely sequesters aggressive, injured, or bullied fish without removing them from the main system’s water parameter loop.

How to Use / Installation Process

1. Hang the unit onto the exterior glass rim of your aquarium (fits rims up to 25 mm thick).

2. Insert the V-shaped separator plate for livebearer births or insert the vertical dividers to create up to 3 individual compartments.

3. Connect standard airline tubing from an external air pump to the intake lift tube.

4. Turn on the air pump to draw heated, oxygenated water from the aquarium into the breeding box. Excess water flows safely back into the tank through the overflow grid.
