Red Sea Tank Net Screen 120cm — DIY mesh cover kit with brace for tanks to 120 × 80 cm

A four-foot reef with a wrasse collection needs a cover that spans the tank without sagging into the water. Red Sea Tank Net Screen 120cm (SKU: RED262) is the 120 cm size of Red Sea’s DIY Net Cover, building a mesh top up to 120 × 80 cm external from an 8 mm aluminium profile, and it adds an internal brace that Red Sea includes on the larger sizes to help the frame hold its shape. Red Sea designed the system for open aquariums where fish safety matters without covering the surface with a solid lid, and the slim profile keeps it discreet on modern rimless tanks.

The kit holds the profiles, corners, six suspension clips, spacers, about 6 m of spline, about 3 m of clear mesh and a spline roller, so the frame is cut and meshed at home to the exact tank. Red Sea’s table fits the 120 cm kit to the REEFER 350, REEFER XL 425, REEFER Peninsula 500 and MAX S-400 and S-500; REEFER Deluxe models with universal light mounts need two zig-zag cut-out kits (RED265) to step the frame around the arms. The finished cover lifts off in one piece for feeding.

Installation Guide

• Plan the cut-outs: Mark positions for overflow, return, light arms and a feeding hatch before cutting.
• Build the frame: Cut the long and short profiles to size, fit the corners, and set the internal brace across the middle.
• Mesh and spline: Roll the spline over the mesh into the channel with the roller, working around the frame, then trim.
• Mount: Fit the six suspension clips to the rim and the spacers front and back, and rest the cover on them.
