Every freshwater tank has a right general hardness, and almost none of them get it from the tap by accident. Quantum Aqua Pro GH 250ml (SKU: QA420250) is Quantum’s Freshwater Essential Plant Essential Aqua Pro GH in its most common size: a solution of bioavailable magnesium and calcium with trace elements in deionised water, formulated to raise GH gently while supplying the major, minor and trace elements that fish, shrimp and plants use in their biochemistry. It is made to suit all types of freshwater aquarium, and Quantum publishes a GH target for each, from Amazon tanks to rift lake cichlids.

One capful, about 10 mL, per 100 L raises general hardness by roughly 2.5 dGH. The dose goes directly into high water flow without shaking, and at a water change only the new water is treated, never the volume lost to evaporation. Quantum’s table runs from 1 to 3 dGH for South American species, through 4 to 8 for community, shrimp and high-tech planted tanks, to 7 to 12 for Tanganyika. A 200 L community tank changing 50 L a week from RO to 5 dGH uses 10 mL, so the bottle lasts about twenty-five changes.

Dosing & Administration Guide

• Find the target: Read the range for your tank type from Quantum’s table and test the current GH.
• One capful per 100 L per 2.5 dGH: Scale the millilitres to the change volume and the rise wanted.
• High flow, unshaken: Add to the change water or into circulation; do not dose for evaporation top-ups.
• Hand dosing: Not for dosing pumps; run Aqua Pro KH alongside for carbonate hardness.
