Quantum Aqua Pro GH 5L (SKU: QA425000) is the bulk size of Quantum’s Freshwater Essential Plant Essential Aqua Pro GH, a solution of bioavailable magnesium and calcium with trace elements in deionised water, formulated to raise general hardness gently and supply the essential elements freshwater life depends on. It suits every type of freshwater system, and Quantum publishes a GH target for each, from soft Amazon water to the hard lakes of East Africa.

The 5 L container has a 20 mL capful, so the dose is half a capful, about 10 mL, per 100 L for a rise of roughly 2.5 dGH, added into high water flow without shaking. Change water alone is dosed, never evaporation top-ups. Quantum’s targets include 3 to 6 dGH for goldfish and koi and 5 to 10 for Malawi. A fish room conditioning 500 L a week from RO to 5 dGH uses 100 mL, so 5 L lasts about fifty weeks; a 3,000 L pond raised 2.5 dGH at fill takes 300 mL. Dosing pumps are not suitable.
