It is the same blend of KH buffer salts as the small packs, formulated to raise carbonate hardness gently and improve pH stability across every kind of freshwater system, from a shop’s community racks to a koi pond of tens of thousands of litres. Regulated KH keeps pH from fluctuating and protects the biochemistry of everything living in the water.

The rate is 5 g, one level scoop, per 100 L for a rise of about 1.4 dKH. At this scale the powder is dissolved in a drum of system water and pumped or poured into the strongest flow; it is never added dry. Only replacement water is dosed at a change, not evaporation. Targets range from 0.5 dKH for South American water to 12 dKH for Tanganyika, with koi at 2 to 4.
