Quantum Aqua Pro KH 2.2kg (SKU: QA432200) is the 2.2 kg pack of Quantum’s Freshwater Essential Plant Essential Aqua Pro KH, a blend of KH buffer salts formulated to raise carbonate hardness gently and improve pH stability in any freshwater system. With KH regulated the pH holds, and the biochemical processes of fish, shrimp and plants run at full efficiency. A level scoop is included and Quantum publishes a KH target for every tank and pond type.

The dose is 5 g, one level scoop, per 100 L for a rise of about 1.4 dKH, dissolved in a separate vessel of aquarium or pond water and then added where the flow is strongest; powder is never added directly. Only the replacement water is dosed at a change, not evaporation. The published ranges include 2 to 4 dKH for goldfish and koi, 1 to 3 for community tanks and 4 to 8 for Malawi. The 2.2 kg pack holds about 440 scoops; raising a 5,000 L pond by 1.4 dKH takes 50 scoops, so the pack covers the fill and many months of top-ups after rain.
