On a 500 L reef the daily amino dose is close to 4 mL, and a litre is what keeps the doser channel full for most of a year. Quantum Bio-Enhance 1L (SKU: QA231000) is a blend of amino acids, vitamins, carbohydrates, protein, fatty acids, energy and cellular bound nourishment enhancers in deionised water, formulated to improve colour, induce feeding responses, increase vitality and boost immunity. It carries a 10 mL capful, is rated for LPS, mixed, SPS and NPS systems, and on a tank this size it usually runs from a dosing pump.

The dose per 100 L per day is 0.50 mL for a lightly stocked reef, 0.75 mL for a moderately stocked one and 1.00 mL for a heavily stocked system, delivered straight into high water flow. The solution is not shaken, does not need refrigeration and is suitable for dosing pumps. A 500 L reef at the moderate rate uses 3.75 mL a day, so a litre lasts close to nine months, and a 300 L tank runs well past a year.
