Quantum Bio-Gen 250ml — Bio-Active Halogen Supplement for Blue and Violet Coral Pigments

Iodide, bromide and fluoride are stripped from reef water by skimming, carbon and the corals themselves, and nothing in a two-part system puts them back. Quantum Bio-Gen 250ml (SKU: QA190250) does: a solution of those three bio-active halogens in deionised water, formulated to intensify white, blue and violet coral colour and to help reduce bleaching, improve calcification and strengthen natural resistance. The 250 mL bottle is dosed in millilitres per 100 L with a 10 mL capful, and Quantum rates it for LPS, mixed, SPS and NPS reef systems.

The daily rate is 0.50 mL per 100 L for light stocking, 0.75 mL for moderate and 1.00 mL for heavy. Each 1 mL per 100 L raises total iodine by about 0.02 ppm with the other halogens rising in proportion, towards targets of 0.06 to 0.09 ppm total iodine, 60 to 70 ppm bromine and 1.0 to 1.2 ppm fluorine. Add it directly into high water flow, no shaking needed, by hand or through a dosing pump. A 200 L reef at the moderate rate uses 1.5 mL a day, so the bottle lasts around five and a half months.

When to Use

• Small to mid-sized reefs: Systems of 100 to 250 L keeping LPS, mixed or SPS corals.
• Blue and violet acropora: Colonies whose pigments have washed out under strong light.
• Heavily skimmed tanks: Systems where aggressive skimming and carbon strip halogens quickly.
• Completing a colour regime: Alongside Bio-Kalium for reds and Bio-Metals for greens.

Dosing & Administration Guide

• Set the daily dose: 0.50, 0.75 or 1.00 mL per 100 L by stocking level.
• Into strong flow: Pour or pump the dose where water movement is highest; no shaking required.
• Check iodine if possible: Hold 0.06 to 0.09 ppm total iodine; each 1 mL per 100 L adds about 0.02 ppm.
• Pump-friendly: Runs cleanly on a dosing pump channel, or by capful for keepers who dose by hand.
