Quantum Bio-Kalium 5L (SKU: QA205000) is the bulk size of Quantum’s potassium supplement, a solution of ionic and complexed potassium with boron and an energy component in deionised water, formulated to intensify red and pink coral colour. Potassium aids nutrient transport within the coral and, together with boron, supports aragonite production. The 5 L container carries a 20 mL capful, is rated for LPS, mixed, SPS and NPS systems, and is usually plumbed straight into a dosing line.

The rate matches the bottles: 0.50, 0.75 or 1.00 mL per 100 L daily for light, moderate or heavy stocking. Every millilitre per 100 L adds about 1 ppm potassium with boron rising alongside, and the levels to hold are 375 to 400 ppm potassium and 4 to 5 ppm boron. It is added into high water flow, unshaken, from a pump line or by the capful. At the moderate rate a 2,000 L system takes 15 mL a day, and 5 L covers about eleven months of that.
