Red Sea Reef Care Nitrate No3 And Phosphate Po4 Reducer 5ltr (SKU: RED289a) is the bulk pack of NO3:PO4-X, Red Sea’s controllable, reef-safe nitrate and phosphate reducer. Its complex of carbon molecules and organically bonded elements is designed so that each carbon source is taken up by a different strain of bacteria, growing the population that consumes nitrate and phosphate and leaving the protein skimmer to export the result.

The starting dose is read off the nitrate test per 100 L of actual water, 3 mL a day above 10 ppm, 2 mL from 2.5 to 10 ppm and 1 mL from 1 to 2.5 ppm in a mixed reef, with SPS and ultra-low-nutrient systems also reading phosphate. Nitrate is tested weekly until it stabilises, then twice weekly, the dose is halved below 1 ppm, and missed doses are not made up. Red Sea requires efficient protein skimming and rules out sulphur denitrators and removal media alongside it. Dosed by pump into the sump, the jug runs a 1,000 L system for about 250 days.

Dosing & Administration Guide

• Calculate on real volume: Exclude rock and sand; 1 to 3 mL per 100 L daily from the nitrate reading.

• Test on schedule: Weekly, then twice weekly; halve the dose under 1 ppm nitrate, or under 0.25 ppm in SPS tanks.
• Nothing else: No sulphur denitrators or removal media; skip missed doses.
