Seachem Acid Regulator is a safe and effective solution for lowering and stabilising pH in freshwater aquariums, ideal for species that thrive in acidic environments. With a dose rate of 1 teaspoon (5 grams) per 40 litres, it is available in Australia in sizes ranging from 50 g to 1 kg, making it suitable for tanks of all sizes. In addition to adjusting pH, Acid Regulator neutralises chlorine, chloramines, and toxic ammonia found in tap water. When combined with Seachem Neutral Regulator or Alkaline Regulator, it allows aquarists to target and stabilise specific pH levels for soft-water setups.

Usage & Application

When to Use

  • Soft-Water Habitats: Ideal for establishing low pH parameters for South American tetras, gouramis, and dwarf cichlids.

  • pH Adjustments: Applied during routine water changes to lower high tap water pH safely.

Dosing & Application Guide

  • Add 5 g (1 level teaspoon) per 40–80 L (10–20 US gallons) daily until the target pH is achieved.
