It is designed specifically for planted aquariums, with a recommended dose of 16 g per 80 litres to increase the general hardness by about 3 dGH. Equilibrium is tailored for planted aquascapes, using potassium salts rather than sodium chloride to support plant growth while establishing osmotic balance for fish. It is ideal for re-mineralising purified reverse osmosis (RO) or deionised (DI) water.
