Quantum Tropical / Community pH Pro 1L — Litre of pH Regulator for Large Community Displays and Ponds

Large community displays and garden ponds hold a lot of water, and a weekly pH dose on them is measured in tens of millilitres. Quantum Tropical / Community pH Pro 1L (SKU: QA381000) is the litre size of a solution of safe pH salts in deionised water, formulated to regulate pH and replicate the near-neutral water of tropical lakes. Left unregulated, the pH of a tank or pond moves with every feed, every rainfall and every change, and the inhabitants pay for it in the efficiency of their biochemical processes. It works with Tropical/Community KH Pro and Tropical/Community Pro Salt GH, over a neutral substrate.

The dose is 10 mL per 100 L once a week, or as required, to hold pH between 6.5 and 7.5, used as a maintenance supplement, with only the replacement volume dosed at a water change. A 500 L display takes 50 mL a week, so a litre covers about twenty weeks at the full rate and longer where the tank only needs it fortnightly; a 2,000 L pond dosed weekly uses the litre in five weeks, so pond keepers often step up to the 5 L container.
