A pond of several thousand litres or a shop’s tropical system uses pH buffer by the cup every week, and the 5 L container is built for that. Quantum Tropical / Community pH Pro 5L (SKU: QA385000) is the bulk size of a solution of safe pH salts in deionised water, formulated to regulate pH and replicate the near-neutral water of tropical lakes. Regulating KH and pH together keeps the pH from fluctuating and protects the biochemical processes fish and shrimp rely on, which is why Quantum pairs this with Tropical/Community KH Pro and Tropical/Community Pro Salt GH and recommends a neutral substrate.

The rate is unchanged from the bottles: 10 mL per 100 L once a week, or as required, to hold pH between 6.5 and 7.5, used as a maintenance supplement, and only the replacement volume dosed at a water change. A 3,000 L pond takes 300 mL a week, so 5 L lasts about sixteen weeks through the season; a fish room with 2,000 L of tropical tanks gets around twenty-five weeks. Tanks tested and found in range simply skip that week, which extends the container further.
