In a densely planted tank or a shrimp colony, the job is rarely to scoop everything in reach; it is to lift one animal out cleanly without uprooting the carpet. Square FISH / Shrimp NET (SKU: 3DFN02S) is model FN02S in the square-frame net range, a hand net with a straight-edged frame, a handle for reach and a soft, fine mesh for the safe handling of fish, shrimp and other small aquatic animals. The straight front edge lines up against glass and hardscape, closing off escape routes, while the fine mesh drains water and holds even small shrimp.

The square shape makes spot work easier: pinning a single shrimp against the front glass, sweeping a strip of the foreground for snails, or lifting out a sick fish for treatment. Soft netting is less likely to damage fins, slime coat or shrimp limbs than coarse, stiff mesh, which matters when moving livestock that is already stressed. Between catches, the net is handy for removing floating plant trimmings after a trim and for collecting debris stirred up while rearranging decor. Work slowly and keep the frame below the surface until the animal is in the net, then transfer it directly into its container. Rinse with fresh water after use and dry it before storing.
