Ecoscape Small Ludwigia Green

Description

Ecoscape Small Ludwigia Green — Low 10 cm artificial Ludwigia for the front of the aquarium

The foreground is the part of a tank seen most closely, and it is where live stem plants look worst when they are left to grow tall and leggy. Ecoscape Small Ludwigia Green (SKU: 28250) is the smallest size of Aqua One’s Ecoscape Ludwigia, a plastic plant made to the pattern of the Ludwigia stem plant, with rounded green leaves arranged up short stems. Ecoscape Small plants are listed by Australian retailers at about 10 cm tall, and Aqua One describes small plants as made for foreground planting. It comes on a weighted base, so it sits flat on the gravel without being buried and can be repositioned at any time.

At 10 cm the Small keeps a low line along the front glass, leaving the view into the tank open. It is also the right scale for nano and betta tanks, where a single piece fills a corner without crowding swimming room. In the store it is the front member of a three-size line: the Medium (SKU 28275, 20 cm) and Xlarge (SKU 28291, about 40 cm) carry the same leaf style back towards the rear glass, and Aqua One recommends adding medium and large plants behind small ones for a natural look. Ecoscape plants are described as non-toxic and aquarium safe, needing no special lighting, pruning or supplements, and safe with destructive fish such as cichlids. They give small fish and fry somewhere to hide, do not decay, and are easy to remove and clean. The range is listed for coldwater, tropical and marine tanks; wash and rinse it thoroughly in tap water first.
