The Red Sea ATO+ system is specifically designed for saltwater aquariums, as its conductivity-based titanium probes rely on the ionic properties of saltwater to function correctly.

How It Works

The ATO+ uses EC (electrical conductivity) titanium probes to detect water levels in the aquarium. When water drops below the set point, the pump is automatically activated to restore water to the desired level, maintaining both stable water levels and salinity.

Water Level Sensor

• Fail-Proof Detection: Solid-state EC probes provide precise and reliable water level sensing.

• Backup Safety: Built-in secondary pump-OFF probes sit 2.5 cm (1”) above the main sensor to prevent overfilling.

• Real-Time Monitoring: The full array of Reef-Spec titanium probes continuously measures water level relative to the sensor, viewable on the ReefBeat App.

Integrated Temperature Sensor & Logging

• High Accuracy: Pre-calibrated to ±0.1°C for precise monitoring.

• Smart Alerts: Set narrow “desired” and wider “acceptable” temperature ranges in the ReefBeat App; notifications are sent to your smartphone if readings fall outside acceptable limits.

• Historical Logs: Temperature data recorded every 15 minutes for the past 28 days, including minimum, maximum, and average readings.

Quiet, Safe, and Powerful ATO Pump

• Pump Design: 12 VDC cylindrical pump (4.5 cm / 1.8” diameter) fits standard jerrycans.

• Performance: Max flow 300 L/h (75 GPH), max head 2.5 m (8’), power 6–10 W.

• Automatic Adjustment: Flow rate is optimized to ~72 L/h (18 GPH) for quiet, splash-free operation.

• Safety Monitoring: Controller detects pump stalls, dry RO reservoir, or disconnection, automatically shutting down the pump and notifying you via ReefBeat App.

• Maintenance Friendly: Noise-damping rubber impeller chamber and removable impeller for easy cleaning.

• Secure Connection: Outlet hose barb includes a lock-nut for firm attachment to silicone tubing.

Leak Detection System

• Highly Sensitive: Reef-spec titanium probes detect all water types, from RODI to full-strength seawater.

• Immediate Response: If a leak is detected, the ATO is disabled and, after confirmation, sends notifications and optional audible alarms.

• Integrated Safety: ReefBeat ecosystem can automatically shut down connected devices such as return pumps to prevent further damage.
