Decanting supplements into reservoirs is a step most reef keepers would rather skip. Red Sea Reef Care Dosing Cap Tube 2 (SKU: RED297) is a twin pack of the internal tubes that complete that system. Red Sea’s 500 mL and 1 L supplement bottles ship with a cap carrying two hose connectors: an external one that is snipped open and joined to the dosing pump’s standard silicone tubing, and an internal one that takes a tube reaching to the bottom of the bottle, so the supplement keeps flowing until the bottle is empty. The internal tube is not supplied with the bottle; this pack is it.

The tubes are reusable, chemical-resistant silicone, about 25 cm long, and fit both the 500 mL and 1 L bottles, which means a Foundation A, B and C set on a three-channel doser needs one pack plus one spare. Red Sea’s wording is that the dosing-ready cap lets its bottles be used directly with automatic dosing systems without decanting, which also avoids contamination and evaporation. Installation Guide

• Check the cap: It must be the current dosing-ready cap with two hose connectors.
• Fit the internal tube: Push the silicone tube onto the inner connector so it reaches the bottom of the bottle.
• Open the external connector: Snip its tip and connect the dosing pump’s silicone line.
• Prime and calibrate: Run the pump until supplement reaches the outlet, then calibrate the channel as usual before the first scheduled dose.
