Most dosing routines start with one bottle, a trace element, a fertiliser or a kalkwasser top-up, and a syringe every morning is easy to forget. Aqua Medic Reefdoser EVO 1 (SKU: AM104201) is the single-channel model of Aqua Medic’s reefdoser EVO series, a calibratable peristaltic dosing pump that can be run by hand from its touch panel or automatically through the Aqua Medic app over 2.4 GHz WLAN. Aqua Medic lists regular dosing of trace elements and fertilisers, calcium and hydrogen carbonate for reef aquariums, lime water, and automatic feeding of live plankton among its uses. The EVO 1 measures about 97 × 105 × 127 mm and comes with a foot for standing or wall mounting and a 12 V power supply.

Programming lives in the app, where dosing intervals can be set anywhere from every second to once daily; the touch key above the pump head is for manual doses and for filling the hose, and an LED lights while the pump runs. Calibration uses at least 10 mL of liquid pumped into a measuring cylinder, and Aqua Medic suggests diluting concentrated solutions with RO water where possible for better accuracy. A single EVO 1 is not a dead end: further EVO 1, 3 or 5 units join the same app, so a second or third additive can be added later without replacing the first pump. Aqua Medic’s limits are a maximum lift of 2 m (0.2 bar), no more than 15 minutes of continuous running with an equal pause, and no corrosive or crystallising liquids. Pump heads, with rollers and hose, are wear parts sold separately.

Installation & Setup Guide

• Place it safely: Mount on the foot above a drip tray, the sump or the tank, away from humidity and salt spray.
• Route the hoses: Suction hose to the bottom of the container; dosing hose ending above the water so nothing siphons back.
• Connect the app: Press the WLAN button on the unit and add it in the Aqua Medic app.
• Calibrate and schedule: Pump at least 10 mL into a measuring cylinder, then set doses and intervals.
