Java Reef Rock Branching – 15kg Box (SKU: JR03017) is a box of Java Reef’s branch-shaped pieces, a manufactured, reef-safe aquascaping rock in pink, purple and grey tones built to resemble natural reef rock while being far lighter to lift and position than quarried rock of the same bulk. Branches add height and visual movement to a scape, filling the gaps between a solid base and a flat plate rather than duplicating either.

Like the rest of the range, the rock has both micro and macro porosity, giving nitrifying bacteria somewhere to colonise through the branch rather than only on its surface, and its texture, crevices and holes let coralline algae and other encrusting organisms attach as the tank matures. It is pH-neutral and does not leach phosphate or nitrate into the water column, which matters on branches often positioned close to light and flow where corals are mounted directly. Thin branch sections are the most exposed shape in the range to a knock in transit or during a rearrange, and a chipped or snapped piece is repaired with aquarium-safe glue or epoxy rather than discarded. Branches are typically glued onto a base or plate structure rather than left to stand free, since their narrower profile is less stable on its own.
