API NITRA-ZORB is a convenient, ready-to-use filtration media pouch designed to remove harmful toxins such as ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate from freshwater aquariums. Made from a combination of natural and synthetic ion-exchange resins, it helps maintain a safe and healthy environment for your fish. By pulling nitrogen compounds directly out of the water column, Nitra-Zorb protects fish from toxic spikes during tank cycling or overstocking emergencies, and can be recharged repeatedly using simple aquarium salt solutions.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• New Tank Cycling: Prevents dangerous ammonia and nitrite spikes during biological filter establishment.

• Emergency Water Spikes: Instantly controls elevated nitrate and nitrite in overcrowded aquariums.

How to Use

1. Rinse the pouch thoroughly with tap water to clear loose dust.

2. Place the pouch into your filter system in the direct path of water flow.

3. A- For New Aquariums or High Ammonia/Nitrite Levels: Recharge every 5 days during the first month, then every 2 weeks in the second month.
   B- For Established Aquariums: Recharge every 2 weeks.
   C- When Nitrate Levels Are Elevated: Recharge every 5 days until nitrate drops below 20 ppm.
   D- Replacement: Replace the pouch after 2 months of use.
4. Recharging Instructions
   A- Dissolve 4 tablespoons (80 g) of API Aquarium Salt in 240 ml (8 oz) of warm water.
   B- Soak the pouch in the solution for 2 hours, then rinse lightly.
   C- Store in the recharging solution when not in use to maintain effectiveness.
   D- Recharge the pouch by soaking in a concentrated non-iodised salt brine bath when the media is exhausted.
