Description

Fluval AquaClear 20/30 Clear Carb Insert (1 Pack) — Carbon and ion-exchange filtration for AquaClear 20 and 30 filters

The Fluval AquaClear 20/30 Clear Carb Insert (SKU: FAQ28) combines premium activated carbon and ion-exchange resin to deliver dual chemical filtration for AquaClear 20 and 30 filters. It adsorbs organic waste while selectively trapping dissolved nitrates and silicates.

Clear-Carb combines the benefits of Carbon and Clearmax for fresh and saltwater aquariums. It eliminates odours, discolourations, and impurities, while controlling phosphate, nitrite and nitrate to produce crystal-clear water. This specialised blend enhances overall water clarity while helping prevent unwanted algae growth in small aquariums.

Usage & Application

When to Use

  • Combined Chemical Treatment: Ideal when both water polishing and nutrient control are needed.

  • Algae Prevention: Helps reduce free silicates and nitrates that feed nuisance algae.

How to Use / Installation Process

  1. Rinse the pouch under running tap water to remove dust particles.

  2. Place the insert into the middle tray of the filter media basket.

  3. Replace monthly or as needed when water clarity declines. For best results, replace after every 4 weeks.
