The Fluval AquaClear 70/110 Ammonia Remover Insert 3-Pack (SKU: FAQ32) is a heavy-duty zeolite chemical filter media for AquaClear 70 and 110 Power Filters. Containing 1.1 kg of high-purity natural zeolite, it rapidly removes toxic free ammonia from freshwater aquariums.

Controlling ammonia levels is also critical for reducing stress on fish; Ammonia Remover is ideal for new or heavily populated freshwater aquariums. It removes and controls harmful ammonia and nitrite to create a healthy aquatic environment. Designed for large tanks and high bio-load conditions, it provides immediate chemical protection against nitrogenous waste accumulation.

Usage & Application

When to Use

  • Large Tank Cycling: Recommended during the setup phase of large freshwater aquariums.

  • Bio-Load Emergency: Rapidly controls sudden ammonia spikes caused by overfeeding or filter disruption.

How to Use / Installation Process

  1. Rinse the pouch thoroughly under tap water to clear loose particles.

  2. Place into the filter basket in place of or alongside carbon media.

  3. Replace every 2 to 4 weeks or after high ammonia levels subside. For best results, replace every 4 weeks
