Pre-measured into three 180g mesh bags, it easily drops into canister filter media baskets or power filters to safeguard aquariums during critical biological transitions. Fluval Ammonia Remover is a natural ion-exchange media designed to remove toxic ammonia as water passes over it. Controlling ammonia levels reduces stress on fish. Use this product to provide a healthy environment when setting up a new aquarium or maintaining one that contains a higher-than-average fish stock.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• New Tank Setup: Use during initial aquarium cycling to protect early livestock from ammonia spikes.

• Overstocked Tanks: Apply when stocking density temporarily exceeds biological filter capacity.

• Emergency Spikes: Insert immediately following overfeeding, filter failure, or sudden livestock loss.

How to Use

1. Remove mesh bag from plastic packaging.

2. Rinse thoroughly under tap water to clear fine dust before placement.

3. Insert pre-bagged media directly into the middle or upper media basket of your canister filter.

4. Replace monthly or immediately after resolving an emergency ammonia spike (zeolite becomes saturated once its binding capacity is reached). Note: For freshwater use only.
