Description
Fluval Bio Foam for 106, 107, 206 and 207 Canister Filters
Fluval Bio Foam (SKU: FA140) provides dense mechanical straining and effective biological filtration for Fluval 106, 206, 107, and 207 canister filters. Fluval’s Bio-Foam features a dense pore structure; it is very effective at trapping small particles that are not captured in the first stage of foam filtration. It traps micro-particles as soon as water enters the canister while creating an ideal habitat for nitrifying bacteria. This dual-purpose media maintains water clarity and supports the breakdown of toxic ammonia and nitrite.
In addition, its intricate network of pores provides a large surface area that encourages the growth of helpful nitrifying bacteria, which is crucial for efficient biological filtration and goes a long way in creating clear and healthy water for fish and plants to thrive.
