Fluval Bio Foam Max (SKU: FA110) is a 2-in-1 biological and mechanical filter pad engineered specifically for Fluval 106 and 107 series canister filters. Featuring a unique rippled surface pattern, Bio Foam Max delivers up to 30% more surface area compared to standard flat foam pads. This complex structure effectively captures fine debris particles while providing massive surface area for beneficial nitrifying bacteria to colonise.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Routine Media Replacement: Replace worn or clogged foam pads to restore optimal filter flow and biological capacity.

• Filter Upgrades: Upgrade standard filter media to maximise mechanical trapping and biological filtration surface area.

How to Use

1. Disconnect and open the Fluval 106 or 107 canister filter.

2. Insert Bio Foam Max into the designated vertical media frame.

3. During routine filter maintenance, gently rinse the pad in aquarium water (not tap water) to preserve beneficial bacteria colonies.

4. Replace pad every 6 months or when structural integrity breaks down.
