Usage & Application

When to Use

• High-Capacity Biological Filtration: Ideal for large canisters (such as Fluval FX series) and aquarium sump setups.
• Large Aquariums & Heavy Bio-Loads: Recommended for predator tanks, monster fish, cichlids, and reef aquariums.

How to Use

• Pour the required volume of Bio FX into filter baskets or mesh media bags.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water prior to first use to remove fine dust particles.
• Place in the biological stage of your filter (after mechanical pre-filtration).
• Squeeze/rinse gently in aquarium water during regular maintenance; do not wash under tap water to preserve bacterial colonies.
• For most aquariums, 1 filter basket layer of Bio-FX is adequate. For higher bio loads, additional Bio-FX can be used.
