Fluval Foam 406 (2 Pieces) – Fits 04/05/06/07 Series

Fluval Foam Blocks (SKU: FA26) are large-format mechanical filter pads custom-engineered for high-flow Fluval 404, 405, 406, and 407 canister filters. Precision cut to match the inner wall height of Fluval’s flagship canister frames, these dense foam pads catch large volumes of particulate waste, keeping downstream biological rings and chemical pads clean for maximum biological filtration efficiency.

Usage & Application

When to Use

  • High-Flow Canister Servicing: Swap out worn foam pads in Fluval 404, 405, 406, or 407 filters.

  • Heavy Bio-Load Care: Ideal for cichlid, goldfish, or turtle tanks where high physical waste output requires robust mechanical pre-filtration.

How to Use

  1. Shut off motor power and open the canister filter casing.

  2. Slide new foam blocks vertically into the side brackets until flush.

  3. Gently rinse in extracted tank water during scheduled filter maintenance to clear accumulated debris.

  4. Replace every 3 to 6 months for peak filtration efficiency.
