Bio-Foam performs double duty as both an effective mechanical and biological media.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Routine Filter Maintenance: Replace worn or compressed Bio Foam blocks to maintain high flow rates in FX canisters.

• Biological Boosting: Use to support dense nitrifying bacterial colonies in heavy bio-load freshwater or saltwater aquariums.

How to Use

1. Disconnect and open the Fluval FX series canister filter housing.

2. Insert Bio Foam blocks into the outer media baskets, ensuring a snug fit around the perimeter.

3. During routine filter cleanings, rinse pads in extracted aquarium water to clear debris without harming beneficial bacteria.

4. Replace every 3 to 6 months for optimal filtration performance.
