Marinepure Vault — Stackable acrylic holder for MarinePure blocks, spheres and Gems in the sump

Loose biomedia in a sump drifts towards the return section, crumbs end up in the pump, and a block standing on a baffle slowly clogs. Marinepure Vault (SKU: 124722) is MarinePure’s acrylic biomedia holder, a box sized to keep ceramic media contained in one place in the sump while water moves freely through it. Its internal space is about 8 × 8 × 4 in (around 20 × 20 × 10 cm), matching one MarinePure 8 × 8 × 4 in ceramic block, and the outside measures about 9 × 9 × 5¼ in (around 23 × 23 × 13 cm). The design is built to allow maximum water flow through and around the media inside, so the bacteria on every face of the media keep receiving water.

Capacity is one ceramic block, one US gallon (about 3.8 L) of MarinePure Spheres, 10 to 12 MarinePure Pods, or over 1,500 MarinePure Gems, and other bio media that fits those internal dimensions can go in as well. Vaults are fully stackable, so two or three can be built upwards to use the full height of a sump rather than spreading media across the floor. The Vault can also double as a skimmer stand, lifting a protein skimmer to a workable depth in a sump that is too deep for it. It is listed for both saltwater and freshwater systems. The Vault is the holder only; the MarinePure Block 8x8x4″ (100895) and Gems 90g (102665) are sold separately.

When to Use

• Organising a sump: Keeping biomedia in one tidy, flow-through compartment.
• Housing a MarinePure block: Holds one 8 × 8 × 4 in block up off the baffles.
• Containing loose media: Spheres, Pods or Gems kept away from the return pump.
• Raising a skimmer: Doubles as a stand where the sump is too deep for the skimmer.

Placement & Usage Guide

• Measure the sump: Allow about 23 × 23 cm of floor space and 13 cm of height per Vault.
• Place in the flow path: Set it where water passes through it, after the filter sock or sponge.
• Stack for capacity: Build Vaults upwards to use the full sump height.
• As a skimmer stand: Check the skimmer’s recommended water depth before setting it on top.
