Description
Seachem Purigen is a high-performance synthetic filtration resin designed to remove dissolved organic waste from aquarium water before it breaks down into ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. By targeting nitrogenous organics at an early stage, Purigen helps maintain excellent water quality and crystal-clear clarity in both freshwater and marine aquariums.
Unlike traditional filter media, Purigen selectively removes organic pollutants while leaving essential trace elements untouched, making it especially suitable for planted and reef aquariums. It has an exceptionally high capacity and can be regenerated for repeated use, offering long-term, cost-effective filtration.
