Wool Bags (1mx25mmx1m) – 400gsm – Boxed 10 Pack

Description

Wool Bags (1mx25mmx1m) – 400gsm – Boxed 10 Pack — Pre-cut 1-metre filter wool sheets sold ten to a box

Cutting a 25 m roll down to size is fine for a workshop but overkill for a small shop that just wants ready-to-use pads on the shelf. Wool Bags (1mx25mmx1m) – 400gsm – Boxed 10 Pack (SKU: 725112) is Aqua Premium’s coarse filter wool pre-cut into 1 by 1 m sheets, 25 mm thick and rated at 400 gsm, packed ten sheets to a box rather than sold off a continuous roll. Each sheet is still large enough to be cut down further for canister baskets, filter socks or smaller sump bays, but the 1 by 1 m starting size suits most hobby-scale sumps and large canister trays without any cutting at all. The ten-sheet box is ordered in multiples of ten, which keeps the per-sheet handling simple for a counter that restocks the same pad size regularly.

At 400 gsm, each 1 by 1 m sheet weighs close to 400 g, so a box of ten holds roughly 4 kg of wool in total, split into sheets that are easier to grab one at a time than a roll that needs re-measuring at every cut. The wool is the same coarse, open fibre used across the Aqua Premium wool range, built for mechanical filtration ahead of a biological media stage such as ceramic rings or bio-balls, and it suits both freshwater and marine systems. Where a job needs a non-standard size, Aqua Premium also sells the same 400 gsm wool as a continuous 25 m roll, vacuum-sealed or in its standard packaging, for cutting to custom dimensions.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Shelf-ready restocking: A fixed pad size that needs no cutting for most sumps and canister trays.
• Small to mid-size systems: Hobby sumps and canister filters sized close to 1 by 1 m.
• Buyers wanting portions: Ten separate sheets rather than one roll to re-measure each time.
• Mixed media builds: A mechanical pre-filter stage ahead of ceramic rings or bio-balls.

Placement & Usage Guide

• Fit as supplied: Lay a sheet into the sump bay or canister tray; trim only if the space is smaller.
• Order in tens: The box is sold as a ten-sheet set rather than single bags.
• Rinse before fitting: Run each sheet under tap water to clear loose fibre before first use.
• Rotate stock: Keep spare sheets in the box until needed rather than pre-cutting the whole set.
