A big system throws a lot more fine debris at its mechanical filtration than a nano tank does, and a sock that needs changing several times a day quickly becomes the most tedious job on the maintenance list. Mantis Rollermat 1200 (SKU: MA069503) is the larger of the two Mantis automatic fleece roller filters, feeding a continuous roll of fleece across the water flow and advancing a clean section automatically as the media in use loads up with waste, instead of relying on socks pulled and rinsed by hand. Running on DC 12 V, it is built for tanks up to 1,200 L and rated to a maximum flow of 12,000 L/H, double the smaller Rollermat 600’s capacity.

The 1200 takes a wider 19 cm fleece roll, still 50 m long, giving more filtration area per section advanced than the 600’s 14 cm roll and suiting the higher flow it is rated for. The mechanism is built for low-maintenance running, with straightforward installation and a quick roll change once the fleece runs out, and Mantis rates it as suited to marine, tropical and freshwater aquariums alike, since the mechanical task does not change with water chemistry. The body measures about 506 × 250 × 180 mm, the largest footprint in the range, sized to replace a sock holder on a sump handling serious flow. A smaller Rollermat 600 (SKU: MA069501) runs the same mechanism on tanks up to 600 L with a narrower fleece and half the rated flow.
