The Red Sea ReefMat Fleece Mat 250 (SKU: RED852a) is the official replacement fleece roll designed for the ReefMat 250 automatic filter. Made from high-flow, non-woven 50g/m² polyester fabric, it traps microscopic waste particles without affecting water parameters. Mechanical filtration like ReefMat removes fine particulate waste before it breaks down into dissolved organics, helping reduce nutrient load and maintain water clarity, especially crucial in reef tanks with corals and sensitive invertebrates.

Each 32-meter roll provides weeks of continuous automated mechanical filtration, helping maintain low nitrate and phosphate levels by trapping detritus before it breaks down. This is the replacement fleece mat roll used inside the ReefMat units. Fleece rolls are consumable and need periodic replacement as they get filled with trapped waste.

How It Works– The ReefMat system feeds a fresh section of non-woven polyester fleece through the filter. Waste gets trapped on the surface of the fleece, and as it becomes dirty, the smart motor advances more mat, keeping your mechanical filtration continuously fresh without manual sock changing.
