Dainichi Koi Color Intensifier 500g Small (3mm) Floating Pellets

Description

Dainichi Koi Color Intensifier 500g Small (3mm) Floating Pellets — Fast-acting colour floating pellet for a few show koi

A koi show or a sale is sometimes only a matter of weeks away, and a maintenance diet alone will not bring out the deepest reds and whites in that timeframe. Dainichi Koi Color Intensifier 500g Small (3mm) Floating Pellets (SKU: 101793) is Dainichi’s fast colour formula, a floating pellet built around an encapsulation process that the maker says enhances colour beyond what conventional methods achieve. The colour enhancers and nutrients are kept raw and uncooked through processing, which Dainichi describes as making them exceptionally strong, and vitamins C and E are included specifically to improve luster, sheen and the whiteness of white patterning. The 500 g pack is a practical size for working a colour programme on a handful of show koi rather than an entire large pond.

Guaranteed analysis is crude protein 41% minimum, crude fat 4% minimum, crude fibre 5% maximum, moisture 9% maximum and ash 9% maximum, with white fish meal, wheat germ, krill, wheat flour and spirulina leading the ingredient list alongside soybean meal, brewer’s yeast, powdered milk and calcium montmorillonite clay. Dainichi’s directions are to feed one to three times daily at 15.5°C (60°F) or above, offering only what the koi clear within five to ten minutes, and maximum colour is typically reached after four to six weeks of feeding. Continuous use causes no issues according to Dainichi, but prolonged or very heavy feeding can turn white koi slightly pink, in which case the maker recommends cutting back the amount fed or switching formulas; Premium is the one exception, since it also carries colour-enhancing properties. Color Intensifier can be used alone or alongside Growth Plus, All-season or Premium.
