Once a reef tank is stocked and settled, colour feeding becomes a daily habit, and a 100 g sample runs out faster than most keepers expect. Dainichi Marine Fx 250g Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets (SKU: 101517) is the 250 g, 3 mm grade of Dainichi’s Marine Fx range, a sinking colour food for marine fish and invertebrates built on freeze-dried copepods, natural astaxanthin, spirulina and Antarctic krill. The pellet sinks through the water column instead of sitting on the surface, so fish and invertebrates feeding mid-water or on the substrate get their share. At 250 g the pack is sized for day-to-day feeding of one reef aquarium, not a short trial.

The formula is built around white fish meal, wheat flour and Antarctic krill meal, with pea protein, wheat germ and spirulina algae for extra protein and pigment, copepod meal and astaxanthin providing the carotenoids the colour claim rests on, and montmorillonite clay, gum acacia, garlic, calcium carbonate, protease and beta glucan filling out the recipe alongside a vitamin and mineral premix. Guaranteed analysis is crude protein 45% minimum, crude fat 5% minimum, crude fibre 4% maximum, moisture 9% maximum, ash 10% maximum, calcium 2% minimum and phosphorus 0.7% minimum.
