Dainichi Veggie Deluxe 2.5kg Baby (1mm) Sinking Pellets

Description

Dainichi Veggie Deluxe 2.5kg Baby (1mm) Sinking Pellets — Bulk herbivore pellet for breeders rearing small-mouthed cichlids

A dedicated Tropheus or Petrochromis breeder, or a club running several rearing tanks, works through fry food in volumes that make small bags impractical. Dainichi Veggie Deluxe 2.5kg Baby (1mm) Sinking Pellets (SKU: 101486) is the bulk pack of Dainichi’s kelp and spirulina-based herbivore formula at the 1 mm pellet size, built for small-mouthed herbivorous cichlids and also suitable and effective for other herbivorous fish. Krill, shrimp meal and white fish meal supply digestible protein alongside the plant base, with five colour-enhancing ingredients included for growth and vigour. Garlic and uncooked digestive enzymes support general health, and calcium montmorillonite clay promotes digestive efficiency, which Dainichi positions as help against the bloat that young strict herbivores are prone to.

The 1 mm Baby pellet is scaled for fry and juveniles, with adults taking the 3 mm Small grade in the same range once they outgrow it. At 2.5 kg, the pack suits a breeding operation, club or fish room running multiple rearing tanks rather than a single display, where the cost per feed drops at this volume. Feeding follows Dainichi’s standard direction regardless of pack size: offer only what the fish consume within a few minutes, one to three times a day, with smaller and more frequent feeds preferred over one large meal for young, bloat-prone herbivores. No guaranteed analysis is published for this pack. Veggie Deluxe is Dainichi’s flagship kelp-based herbivore diet, with Veggie FX offered as a more colour-intensive version of the same formula. The range is also packed at 100 g, 250 g and 500 g, and as the 3 mm Small pellet for adult fish.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Breeding operations: A bulk pack for ongoing rearing of Tropheus or Petrochromis fry.
• Clubs and fish rooms: Several grow-out tanks fed from one bag.
• High-turnover colonies: Herbivores that breed often and need a constant fry food supply.
• Cost-conscious restocking: A larger pack for keepers feeding this pellet daily long-term.

Feeding Guide

• One to three feeds daily: Dainichi’s standard routine across the Veggie Deluxe range.
• Portion to finish fast: Offer only what fry clear within a few minutes.
• Several light feeds: Favoured over one large meal for bloat-prone young fish.
