Dainichi Veggie Deluxe 2.5kg Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets

Description

Dainichi Veggie Deluxe 2.5kg Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets — Bulk herbivore pellet for serious Tropheus and Mbuna keepers

A fish room stocked with several Tropheus or Mbuna displays treats a 250 g bag as little more than a week’s supply, and bulk buying becomes the only practical option. Dainichi Veggie Deluxe 2.5kg Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets (SKU: 101487) is the bulk pack of Dainichi’s kelp and spirulina-based herbivore formula at the 3 mm pellet size, built for herbivorous cichlids and also suitable and effective for other herbivorous fish. Krill, shrimp meal and white fish meal supply digestible protein alongside the plant base, with five colour-enhancing ingredients included for growth and vigour. Garlic and uncooked digestive enzymes support general health, and calcium montmorillonite clay promotes digestive efficiency, which Dainichi credits with helping guard against bloat in strict herbivores.

The 3 mm Small pellet suits adult Tropheus, Petrochromis, Mbuna and other established herbivorous cichlids, sitting above the 1 mm Baby pellet used for their fry. At 2.5 kg, the pack is built for a serious keeper, club or fish room feeding several large colonies daily, where the cost per feed drops compared with smaller bags. Feeding follows Dainichi’s standard direction at any pack size: offer only what the fish consume within a few minutes, one to three times daily, favouring smaller and more frequent feeds over one large meal. No guaranteed analysis is published for this pack. Veggie Deluxe remains Dainichi’s flagship herbivore diet, with Veggie FX available as a more colour-intensive version of the same formula. The line also comes in 100 g, 250 g and 500 g, and as the 1 mm Baby pellet for fry.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Multiple established colonies: A bulk pack for several adult Tropheus or Mbuna tanks.
• Clubs and dedicated keepers: Feeding programs that run through pellets quickly.
• Long-term restocking: Buying ahead rather than reordering small bags every few weeks.
• Mixed herbivore collections: One pellet across Tropheus, Petrochromis and Mbuna.

Feeding Guide

• One to three feeds daily: Dainichi’s standard routine for the Veggie Deluxe range.
• Feed to appetite: Offer only what each colony clears within a few minutes.
• Keep feeds frequent: Several smaller feeds reduce bloat risk across large groups.
• Reseal between feeds: Keep a large bag airtight and dry to protect the remainder.
