Dainichi Veggie Deluxe 500g Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets

Description

Dainichi Veggie Deluxe 500g Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets — Value-size herbivore pellet for multiple herbivorous cichlid tanks

A keeper with more than one Tropheus or Mbuna tank, or a single large colony, finds a 250 g bag of herbivore pellets disappears quickly. Dainichi Veggie Deluxe 500g Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets (SKU: 101485) is the value-sized pack of Dainichi’s kelp and spirulina-based herbivore formula at the 3 mm pellet size, built for herbivorous cichlids and also suitable and effective for other herbivorous fish. Krill, shrimp meal and white fish meal supply digestible protein alongside the plant base, and five colour-enhancing ingredients are included for growth and vigour. Garlic and uncooked digestive enzymes support general health, while calcium montmorillonite clay promotes digestive efficiency, which Dainichi positions as help against the bloat that strict herbivores are prone to on an unsuitable diet.

The 3 mm Small pellet suits adult Tropheus, Petrochromis, Mbuna and other established herbivorous cichlids, above the 1 mm Baby pellet used for their fry. A 500 g bag is the practical size for several herbivore tanks fed daily, or for one tank with a large, actively feeding colony. Feeding follows Dainichi’s usual direction: offer only what the fish consume within a few minutes, one to three times daily, favouring smaller and more frequent feeds over one large meal. No guaranteed analysis is published for this pack. Veggie Deluxe is Dainichi’s flagship herbivore formula, with Veggie FX sold alongside it as a more colour-intensive version of the same kelp base. The line also comes in 100 g and 250 g for smaller households, 2.5 kg for larger operations, and as the 1 mm Baby pellet for fry.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Multiple herbivore tanks: One 500 g bag covers more than one established colony.
• Large single colonies: A group of adult Tropheus or Mbuna fed daily.
• Everyday restocking: A longer-lasting size for keepers committed to the formula.
• Mixed herbivore collections: One pellet across Tropheus, Petrochromis and Mbuna together.

Feeding Guide

• One to three feeds daily: Dainichi’s standard routine for the Veggie Deluxe range.
• Feed to appetite: Offer only what the colony clears within a few minutes.
• Split larger feeds: Several smaller feeds support digestion in bloat-prone species.
