Dainichi Veggie Fx 2.5kg Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets

Description

Dainichi Veggie Fx 2.5kg Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets — Bulk colour pellet for dedicated Tropheus and Mbuna keepers

A fish room stocked with several adult Tropheus or Mbuna displays, all fed a colour-enhancing diet, makes a trial-sized bag of Veggie Fx impractical to keep reordering. Dainichi Veggie Fx 2.5kg Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets (SKU: 101494) is the bulk pack of Dainichi’s colour-enhancing herbivore formula at the 3 mm pellet size, built on the Veggie Deluxe base and coated and encapsulated with spirulina, freeze-dried Cyclop-eeze and NatuRose, a Haematococcus algae source of astaxanthin, plus E. superba krill. Six colour-enhancing ingredient applications are used, alongside raw vitamins, digestive enzymes and garlic for general health. The pellet is designed to break down into granules in the gut rather than swell, aimed at strict herbivores such as Tropheus that are prone to bloat.

The 3 mm Small pellet suits adult Tropheus, Petrochromis, Mbuna and other established herbivorous cichlids, above the 1 mm Baby pellet used for their fry. The recipe also includes kelp, white fish meal, soybean meal, wheat flour as binder, shrimp meal, wheat germ, brewer’s yeast, calcium montmorillonite clay, vitamin and mineral mixes, protease and natural gum. Dainichi positions Veggie Fx as one of its two most colour-intensive herbivore formulas. At 2.5 kg, the pack is built for a serious keeper, club or fish room feeding several large colonies this pellet daily. Feeding follows Dainichi’s standard direction at any pack size: offer only what the fish consume within a few minutes, one to three times daily, favouring smaller and more frequent feeds over one large meal. No guaranteed analysis is published for this pack. The range also comes in 100 g, 250 g and 500 g, and as the 1 mm Baby pellet for fry.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Multiple established colonies: A bulk pack for several adult Tropheus or Mbuna tanks.
• Clubs and dedicated keepers: Colour-focused feeding programs that run through pellets quickly.
• Long-term restocking: Buying ahead rather than reordering small bags every few weeks.
• Bloat-prone adults: A pellet built to break into granules rather than swell.

Feeding Guide

• One to three feeds daily: Dainichi’s standard routine across the Veggie Fx range.
• Feed to appetite: Offer only what each colony clears within a few minutes.
• Keep feeds frequent: Several smaller feeds reduce bloat risk across large groups.
• Reseal between feeds: Keep a large bag airtight and dry to protect the remainder.
