Dainichi Veggie Fx 500g Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets

Description

Dainichi Veggie Fx 500g Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets — Bulk colour-enhancing herbivore pellet for established herbivore colonies

A keeper with more than one Tropheus or Petrochromis tank, or a single large colony fed daily, outgrows a trial-sized bag of colour pellets quickly. Dainichi Veggie Fx 500g Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets (SKU: 101492) is the value-sized pack of Dainichi’s colour-enhancing herbivore formula at the 3 mm pellet size, built on the Veggie Deluxe base and coated and encapsulated with spirulina, freeze-dried Cyclop-eeze and NatuRose, a Haematococcus algae source of astaxanthin, plus E. superba krill. Six colour-enhancing ingredient applications are used, alongside raw vitamins, digestive enzymes and garlic for general health. The pellet is designed to break down into granules in the gut rather than swell, aimed at strict herbivores such as Tropheus that are prone to bloat.

The 3 mm Small pellet suits adult Tropheus, Petrochromis and comparable herbivorous cichlids, above the 1 mm Baby pellet used for their fry. The recipe also includes kelp, white fish meal, soybean meal, wheat flour as binder, shrimp meal, wheat germ, brewer’s yeast, calcium montmorillonite clay, vitamin and mineral mixes, protease and natural gum. Dainichi positions Veggie Fx as one of its two most colour-intensive herbivore formulas. A 500 g bag suits several established tanks or one large colony fed daily, lasting longer than the 250 g size. Feeding follows Dainichi’s usual direction: offer only what the fish consume within a few minutes, one to three times daily, favouring smaller and more frequent feeds over one large meal. No guaranteed analysis is published for this pack. The range also comes in 100 g and 250 g, and 2.5 kg for larger operations, and as the 1 mm Baby pellet for fry.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Multiple herbivore tanks: One 500 g bag covers more than one established colony.
• Large single colonies: A big group of adult Tropheus or Petrochromis fed daily.
• Colour-focused feeding: Six colour-enhancing ingredients applied at a longer-lasting pack size.
• Bloat-prone adults: A pellet built to break into granules rather than swell.

Feeding Guide

• One to three feeds daily: Dainichi’s standard routine across the Veggie Fx range.
• Feed to appetite: Offer only what the colony clears within a few minutes.
• Split larger feeds: Several smaller feeds support digestion in bloat-prone species.
• Clear uneaten food: Remove leftovers to protect water quality in a busier tank.
