Dainichi Xl Pro 250g Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets

Description

Dainichi Xl Pro 250g Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets — Everyday sinking pellet for sub-adult and bottom-feeding cichlids

Not every cichlid competes well at the surface, and a tank with shy or bottom-oriented fish needs a staple that reaches them reliably rather than one that is gone before it sinks. Dainichi Xl Pro 250g Small (3mm) Sinking Pellets (SKU: 101456) is the 250 g pack of the 3 mm Small grade in Dainichi’s XL Pro line, a sinking formula of premium marine proteins and natural colour enhancers for robust carnivorous and omnivorous cichlids. The pellet sinks steadily through the water column, delivering food to fish that feed at the bottom and in mid-water rather than racing for it at the top. At 250 g the pack is sized for everyday feeding of one established tank of sub-adult to smaller adult cichlids.

Antarctic krill and two spirulina types supply the colour claim, aimed at clean, vibrant colour and especially blue, and calcium montmorillonite clay, a feature across the Dainichi range, encourages mineral intake, binds metabolic toxins and supports the digestive tract. White fish meal, wheat flour and wheat germ, soybean meal and brewer’s yeast make up the base, with powdered milk, garlic, protease and gum acacia alongside a vitamin and mineral premix, using only two starch sources rather than a longer filler list. Guaranteed analysis is crude protein 44% minimum, crude fat 6% minimum, crude fibre 3% maximum, moisture 9% maximum and ash 10% maximum. The 3 mm Small grade suits sub-adult and smaller adult cichlids, and the resealable, UV-light-resistant pouch keeps a 250 g supply in condition over regular feeding.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Sub-adult cichlids: A 3 mm sinking pellet for fish partway to full adult size.
• Bottom-oriented feeders: Cichlids that do not compete well for food at the surface.
• Mixed-level tanks: Communities where some fish feed low and others feed higher up.
• Everyday staple: A 250 g pack sized for regular use in one tank.

Feeding Guide

• Feed to appetite: Offer only what is cleared within a few minutes.
• Several feeds a day: Smaller, more frequent feeds suit active cichlids.
• Let it reach the bottom: The pellet sinks, so shy or bottom feeders are not missed out.
• Reseal after feeding: Protect the remaining pellets between feeds.
