Dainichi Xl Pro 500g Medium (5mm) Sinking Pellets

Description

Dainichi Xl Pro 500g Medium (5mm) Sinking Pellets — Larger pack of big sinking pellets for adult frontosa colonies

Several adult frontosa feeding together on a bottom-weighted diet go through a 5 mm pellet quickly, and a 250 g bag is a short-term solution once a colony is established. Dainichi Xl Pro 500g Medium (5mm) Sinking Pellets (SKU: 101459) is the 500 g pack of the 5 mm Medium grade in Dainichi’s XL Pro line, a sinking formula of premium marine proteins and natural colour enhancers for robust carnivorous and omnivorous cichlids. The pellet sinks through the water column, reaching fish that feed at the bottom and in mid-water across an established colony. The 500 g size suits a group of adult-sized fish fed regularly.

Antarctic krill and two spirulina types drive the colour claim, aimed at clean, vibrant colour and especially blue, and calcium montmorillonite clay, a feature across the Dainichi range, encourages mineral intake, binds metabolic toxins and supports the digestive tract. White fish meal, wheat flour and wheat germ, soybean meal and brewer’s yeast make up the base, with powdered milk, garlic, protease and gum acacia alongside a vitamin and mineral premix, and only two starch sources are used in the formula. Guaranteed analysis is crude protein 44% minimum, crude fat 6% minimum, crude fibre 3% maximum, moisture 9% maximum and ash 10% maximum. The 5 mm Medium grade is sized for fully grown frontosa and other large, robust cichlids, and the resealable, UV-light-resistant pouch keeps a 500 g supply in condition for a colony fed several times a day.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Adult frontosa colonies: A group of fully grown fish fed together regularly.
• Large Central American cichlids: Robust carnivorous and omnivorous species at full size.
• Mid-water and bottom feeders: Cichlids that feed below the surface most of the time.
• Established colony feeding: A 500 g pack sized for ongoing, frequent feeding.

Feeding Guide

• Feed to appetite: Offer only what the colony clears within a few minutes.
• Spread across feeds: Several smaller feeds suit a large, active colony.
• Let it sink through: The pellet reaches mid-water and bottom feeders without surface competition.
• Reseal firmly: Protect the remaining pack from moisture and light between feeds.
