A reef with a pair of clownfish, a few chromis, a wrasse and a goby needs one food that every mouth in the tank will take, fed day in and day out. Dymax Marine Complete 160g Small Sinking Pellet (SKU: DM539) is the 160 g pack of Dymax’s seafood pellet for carnivorous and omnivorous marine fish, a small 1.6 mm pellet that sinks slowly through the water column. Krill meal and fish meal head the ingredient list, followed by wheat flour, yeast and mussel meal, with spirulina, algae and fish oil adding plant matter and marine lipids. Dymax describes the formula as complete and balanced, highly digestible, flavour-enhanced for finicky eaters and built with natural colour enhancers.

The 160 g tub holds about 400 mL of pellets, more than two and a half times the 60 g pack (DM538), and suits an established community tank fed several times a day. The guaranteed analysis is crude protein at least 42%, crude fat at least 8%, crude fibre no more than 3%, moisture no more than 10%, phosphorus at least 1.2% and ash no more than 15%. Astaxanthin and β-carotene are the colour-enhancing ingredients, while garlic, β-glucan, Bacillus subtilis and a prebiotic are included for health and digestion. Because the pellet sinks slowly, fish holding in the current get first chance and gobies or other sand-dwellers collect what drops.
