Description
Dymax Marine Superior 160g Small Sinking Pellet — Larger tub of algae-rich pellets for reef tanks with several grazing fish
Keeping a pair of blennies, a dwarf angelfish and a shoal of chromis fed on algae-based food every day takes more than a sample pack. Dymax Marine Superior 160g Small Sinking Pellet (SKU: DM542) is the 160 g tub of Dymax’s herbivore and omnivore pellet for marine fish, a small 1.6 mm sinking pellet that pairs spirulina, seaweed and marine algae with fish, krill and mussel meal. Dymax enriches the recipe with spirulina and natural carotenoids for colour, and includes garlic and immunostimulants that it links to better resistance against bacteria and parasites. It is formulated as a complete diet for tropical marine fish, with flavour enhancement for fussy feeders.
At about 400 mL of pellets, more than two and a half times the 60 g pack (DM541), this size suits a mixed reef where several grazers are fed two or three times a day. The guaranteed analysis is crude protein at least 40%, crude fat at least 6%, crude fibre no more than 3%, moisture no more than 10%, phosphorus at least 1.2% and ash no more than 15%. Listed ingredients include β-glucan and Bacillus subtilis alongside astaxanthin, vitamins A, D3, E and C, and chelated trace minerals. Dymax describes the pellets as highly digestible, which helps keep waste down in a nutrient-sensitive reef. Many keepers feed it alongside a seafood pellet such as Dymax Marine Complete so that carnivores and grazers both get what they need. Once tangs and rabbitfish outgrow the 1.6 mm size, the 560 g pack in a 2.5 mm medium pellet is the better match.
Usage & Application
