New Life Spectrum Algaemax Large 2.2kg

Description

New Life Spectrum Algaemax Large 2.2kg — Bulk 3 to 3.5 mm algae pellet for big herbivore collections and fish rooms

Large herbivores eat a lot of food, and a facility or a keeper with several oversized plecos and tangs needs a supply measured in kilograms. New Life Spectrum Algaemax Large 2.2kg (SKU: 102361) is the 2.2 kg bulk pack of New Life Spectrum’s AlgaeMax formula in the Large 3 to 3.5 mm sinking pellet, made in the USA by New Life International. The Large pellet carries the same recipe as the smaller sizes: the Spectrum Nutrition Formula with what the maker calls nine aquatic vegetables, marine protein from krill, squid and fish, and a stated suitability for both herbivores and omnivores.

New Life Spectrum publishes a guaranteed analysis of 34% minimum crude protein, 8% minimum crude fat, 8% maximum crude fibre and 10% maximum moisture, with vitamin A, D, E and C minimums of 10,000, 3,500, 400 and 600 IU/kg. Six seaweeds, kelp and spirulina lead the ingredients, and tocopherols act as the preservative in a series the maker calls Naturox. Its general feeding direction is twice daily, with an amount eaten in about a minute. The 2.2 kg pack is about seven and a half times the 300 g Large jar, which lowers the cost of handling for heavy use but means storage matters: keep the pack sealed, cool and dry, and fill a smaller container for daily feeding. The pellet suits adult plecos, large herbivorous cichlids, bigger goldfish and medium to large marine grazers.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Large pleco collections: Daily pellet for many big catfish across several tanks.
• Public and display tanks: Heavy-feeding herbivores in large aquariums.
• Retail and import systems: A single pellet for oversized herbivorous stock.
• Marine tang tanks: A sinking pellet to supplement algae sheets.

Feeding Guide

• Decant a short supply: Fill an airtight tub and keep the bulk pack closed.
• Feed twice a day: Give only what is cleared in about a minute.
• Distribute by group: Offer several piles so large fish do not crowd one spot.
• Check stock regularly: Use the pack within its date and keep it away from heat.
