New Life Spectrum Float Extra Large 1.6kg

Description

New Life Spectrum Float Extra Large 1.6kg — Bulk floating 4.5–5 mm pellet for big-fish tanks and grow-out rooms

Large fish are expensive to feed, and buying their food in small bags adds up quickly. New Life Spectrum Float Extra Large 1.6kg (SKU: 102336) is the bulk pack of New Life Spectrum’s Naturox series floating pellet in the Extra Large size, 4.5 to 5 mm. The pellet is made on the Spectrum Nutrition Formula, which the maker describes as South Antarctic krill and herring with algae meal, spirulina, a fruit and vegetable extract and natural colour-enhancing ingredients, intended to support immune function. Buoyancy is positive, so most of the pellets float and remain within reach of surface-feeding fish.

Typical ingredients start with whole Antarctic krill, whole herring and whole wheat flour, then algae, beta carotene, spirulina and garlic, with vitamins A, D, E and B12, minerals including iodine, cobalt, iron and manganese, and choline chloride. The maker notes that its high-dose anti-parasitic garlic belongs to the Thera+A formulas. This pack is aimed at keepers who feed big fish every day: oscars, large cichlids, arowana growing out, or several tanks of the same species. Fish that have not yet reached this size can use the Large pellet at 3 to 3.5 mm, and fully grown giants can move to the Jumbo at 7.5 to 8 mm. A 350 g bag of the same Extra Large pellet is also available.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Grow-out rooms: Young large-species fish being fed heavily over many months.
• Multiple big tanks: One bulk pellet for several tanks of the same fish.
• Cost-conscious feeding: Households that use a 350 g bag quickly.
• Surface-feeding predators: Fish that strike food at the top and want a pellet with some size.

Feeding Guide

• Use a working tub: Pour a few weeks of food into a lidded container and keep the main bag closed.
• Feed to a minute: Give what the fish finish within about a minute.
• Net the extras: Floating pellets left at the surface are better removed than left to soften.
• Store cool and dry: Fold and seal the bag after each use.
