New Life Spectrum Float Medium 1.6kg

Description

New Life Spectrum Float Medium 1.6kg — Bulk floating 2–2.5 mm pellet for mid-size fish in busy or multi-tank set-ups

Feeding a row of tanks or a large display with a small bag means constant reordering, and a floating pellet is only useful if it is the right size for every mouth at the surface. New Life Spectrum Float Medium 1.6kg (SKU: 102332) is the bulk pack of New Life Spectrum’s Naturox series floating pellet in the Medium size, 2 to 2.5 mm. The pellet uses the Spectrum Nutrition Formula, described by the maker as South Antarctic krill and herring with algae meal, spirulina, a fruit and vegetable extract and natural colour-enhancing ingredients, aimed at supporting immune function. Most of the pellets float, which keeps food in front of fish that feed from the top of the water.

Whole Antarctic krill, whole herring and whole wheat flour head the typical ingredient list, followed by algae, beta carotene, spirulina and garlic, plus vitamins A, D, E and B12, minerals such as iodine, cobalt, iron and manganese, and choline chloride. The maker points out that its high-dose anti-parasitic garlic is a feature of the Thera+A diets, not of this Float formula. At 1.6 kg this is the large pack for the Medium size, suited to fish rooms, breeders, clubs and households running several tanks of the same fish. Smaller fish in the same system can be moved to the Regular size of the range, and growing fish can graduate to Large at 3 to 3.5 mm.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Several tanks, one food: A single bulk pack for a row of tanks holding mid-size surface feeders.
• Breeders and growers: Stock that moves up through pellet sizes needs a steady supply of the Medium grade.
• Large displays: Big community tanks where a small bag runs out between orders.
• Regular daily feeding: A floating staple for fish that take food at the surface.

Feeding Guide

• Decant a working supply: Keep a small container at the tank and the bulk bag sealed.
• Feed to appetite: Give only what is eaten within a minute or so.
• Net out leftovers: Floating pellets that remain after feeding should be removed.
• Store sealed: Roll and close the bag after use and keep it cool and dry.
